Join us in honing your skills as a triple threat.  Our class will dive into the fun, bright, energetic hit, Mama Mia.  This jukebox musical  is told through the music of ABBA, the Swedish dance/pop group, with songs like Dancing Queen, Take a Chance on Me, SOS, and Mama Mia, to name a few.
The music of Mama Mia spans many styles, including pop, disco, pop rock, and Europop.  While ABBA’s music encompasses many styles, they all embody similar elements to their l competition and artistry that make them identifiable and unique to the band.
In our time together we will touch on vocal technique, music theory, character study, costume design, prop study, pop music history (diving into ABBA), musical theater history (Mama Mia is the 5th longest running show in the West End, and 3rd longest running show in history), and top it all off with some movement and dance!


 

Prerequisite: Must have previously completed at least one class in EACH basic area: drama, voice, and dance. ** Please do not register for this class unless prerequisites are met **
