Description

Do you remember the first time you were introduced to the magic of theater? Now, it’s your turn to be part of that experience! In this exciting class, we’ll dive into the world of Theater for Young Audiences (TYA)—an ever-growing genre that sparks children's imaginations and introduces them to the joy of live performance. From touring shows to regional theater productions, TYA is often a child’s first encounter with theater, making it an essential part of their creative journey. TYA has also become a GREAT start for upcoming and aspiring actors. In this class we’ll explore how TYA performances are created, the powerful impact they have, and how TYA often leads to iconic musicals like The Lightning Thief—which started as a TYA show! Join us for an action-packed adventure into the exciting world of TYA!
Prerequisite: Must have previously completed at least one class in EACH basic area: drama, voice, and dance ** Please do not register for this class unless prerequisites are met
