Description

This class will welcome students into the wild world of contemporary dance. Contemporary is an expressive, powerful form of dance that encompasses many different styles of movement, often in a story-telling setting. We will also get back to basics that every great dancer needs, such as ballet, stretching, strength and conditioning, and more! To chase your dream as a young artist requires lots of hard (and fun!) work. That’s what we will be doing in this class. It will also encourage students to come up with their own voice and creativity in their choreography. Come learn how to tell stories through your movement and expression and share with the world your own experience of chasing your dreams.
Prerequisite: Must have completed 2 classes in Beginning/Intermediate Dance **Please do not sign up for this class unless you have met the prerequisite (show participation does not cover these prerequisites)
