Description

Different roles require different movement! Have you been cast as basketball player but never play basketball? Were you cast as an older adult but you're only 13? Acting utilizes every part of your body - from character to body movement. The words from a script only tell part of the story. This class will be a challenging exploration of different movements essential to an actor. Give your character the depth it requires and learn how movement can enhance your role on the stage. In this class we will work on movements from a collection of sources (including but not limited to sports, martial arts, modern dance, animals, celebrities and more). We will even try out some stage combat. This class is a physical class so come ready to move!
Prerequisite: Must have completed 2 classes in Beginning/Intermediate Drama **Please do not sign up for this class unless you have met the prerequisite
